Hi! I'm Charlotte

I am an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at the North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Prior to coming to NC A&T, I was the Astronomy & Astrophysics Prize Postdoctoral Fellow at Iowa State University. I got my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Notre Dame where I worked on supernova cosmology under Dr. Peter Garnavich. My research focuses on understanding type Ia supernovae progenitors and what effects the intrinsic variations in type Ia supernovae have on the Hubble constant measurement. Other research interests of mine include light echoes, white dwarfs, brown dwarfs, scientific writing/communication, and physics education.
